2024 Workshops are being held via Zoom or at the American Legion, 625 31st Street, Marion, Iowa. The class fee for each workshop is next to the speaker name.

July 22 - no workshop August 26, 2024: Be sure to attend our August meeting for a Trunk Show with Joyce Franklin from Piece Works Quilt Shop at both the 9am and the 6:30pm meetings. Sign up for her “Oh My Ovals” workshop from 1:00 to 4:00. Learn to sew ovals without a ruler! The fee for the class is $25.00. We still need 4 people to sign up for the workshop. If you plan to attend and have an oval ruler, bring it! Joyce will answer your questions about how to use it. September 23, 2024: Sharon Davison will present a trunk show on Fabric Painting at both the 9am & 6:30pm meetings. A Thread Painting workshop is scheduled from 12:00 to 4:30pm. The fee is $50.00 per person. Plan to sign up for this workshop at our July meeting. |

Below is a list of tips that will help everyone have a good time and learn as much as possible during the few hours you will be with your teacher. Teachers work hard to share their knowledge, skills and experience. They will appreciate your courtesy and put more effort into their teaching if they know their hard work is appreciated.
WORKSHOP ETIQUETTE
Only make a reservation for a quilt workshop if you are fully committed to it and pay your registration fee immediately to show that commitment and help you keep it. Until you pay, your spot will NOT be reserved.
*Arrive early to set up so you are ready to go when the workshop starts.
*Switch off your mobile phone or set it on vibrate.
*If you are unable to attend a workshop, please notify the program chair immediately so we can notify those on the waitlist.
*Carry a notebook, ask plenty of questions, and take notes about the answers.
*Have fun!
